Catching up....

Oh no....I wrote this post on 4/6/07 but then my computer froze and I only managed to save a small portion of it. I was so frustrated that I just left it as a draft. Then life got in the way and I went away. I promise I'll be back more regularly now. Here's what I had:

I might be the worst blogger ever. Has it really been 2 weeks since my last post. I'll be lucky if anyone is still reading. (HA - now it's been over a month....is anyone still out there? :))

A while ago, my very good friend asked me to assist her in planning and executing a baby shower for a good friend of hers. Babies, chats with my friend, and shower fun - of COURSE I said yes. Secretly, I hoped to hog lots and lots of love time with the doll she calls her daughter.

Grandma made that poncho - HOW CUTE?!?!

So I drove 1 1/2 hours to her on a Sat am and we hung out, caught up, sliced vegetables, played with Sadie and I learned some sign language. Oh, and her wonderful husband? Yeah, he noticed that my car was "pukin' oil" all over the street. Oy. You will recollect the above 1 1/2 hour drive? He and I checked my oil - zippo! After 4 quarts, I was on my way home with all phalanges crossed. Oh well. It is at the shop. It doesn't look good for my little car - perhaps a rear seal needs to be replaced. Sounds innocent right? Not so much. The rear seal requires removal of the transmission. Hmmmppph.*

On Sunday I met Casey for a 2 hour drive to the shower. The car was packed to the gills with shower fixins and us girls. We arrived at the shower and began prepping....

A Candy Bar.....

A Declectable Table.....

From any angle.....

And a lovely diaper cake made by my friend.....

Who is this crazy lady taking my picture?

The shower was a stunning success but Baby Sadie was by far the star of the show. While her mother and I bustled around, she amused the guests.

A perfect angel....

*P.S. My car required $1,080.88 worth of fixin' the rear seal, but it's worth it for no car payment! All better now! :)

So glad to hear your car is fixed (although, ouch!) and that party looks awesome!

Love the diaper cake. Very cute!
And woo hoo for having you back to blogging. :)
